Description

Since the beginnings of Perfect World, the Untamed race has been known for its legendary heroes whose tales have been passed down for many generations. Dhotos had often admired such heroes and aspired to become a great warrior such as they were so that his name too could be carried on among his people. Still a young soldier in training, Dhotos was graciously given a chance to prove himself to his people.

There had been rumours of uprisings and strange happenings in the mines immediately west of the great city of Archosaur. Archosaur’s elder had requested the assistance of special expat soldiers from the Untamed lands to aid Archosaur’s city guard in handling the matter. Hand-picked by Untamed elder himself, Dhotos as well as fifteen other soldiers departed the City of the Lost on their five day journey to Archosaur. The ban of warriors was led by Yansheng, the Hirudini Barbarian who had not yet completed his training, but had already shown promising potential in his battle prowess. Yansheng had already gained immense popularity within the City of the Lost with amazing feats of strength and bravery. However, Dhotos had no desire to indulge in and encourage his brazen ways.

Upon arriving to the grand city, General Summer, head of the Archosaur city guard, dispatched Yansheng, along with Dhotos as well as another comrade to assess the situation at the abandoned mines. The mines had been taken over by the wraiths and General Summer had been planning a raid in order to reclaim the land.
The three departed the city as the sun set and travelled through the forest until they finally approached the mines. From afar, they could hear low murmurings coming from deep within the caverns and slowly ventured closer. A blinding light overcame them and Dhotos fell into unconsciousness. Awakening the next day, he had very little recollection of what had occurred that night. He soon discovered his comrade’s corpse, burnt to its very bones, though there was no sign of Yansheng. Panicked, he fled back to the city, fearful of what had occurred. News of their fallen comrade and Yansheng’s disappearance quickly reached the City of the Lost. Being the only surviving member of the incident, the blame fell upon Dhotos. It is claimed that he was to be held accountable for Yansheng’s disappearance and his friend’s death because he had somehow managed to escape the ordeal, unscathed. He maintained that he had absolutely no recollection of the incident. However, he was banished from his clan and was left to roam the lands of Perfect World. Though, Dhotos still vows to cleanse the world of wraith abominations and to one day regain the honour and respect of his people.

So I decided to draw my barbarian from the online game Perfect World International. Don't know what that is? Click

I also wanted to form a story for him and I decided to build it around the quest chain that you do around level 29 called Yansheng's Disappearance. I always loved that quest chain for some reason. Maybe because I had always wondered exactly what happened to Yansheng. I'll probably even do some fan art of him later on.

Barbarians don't even get this muscular unfortunately. I had to actually tamper with the ini files to amp up his arms and legs, but shhhh! Don't tell anyone :D
